Rolfing in Zürich

What is Rolfing®?
Rolfing® Structural Integration is a hands-on bodywork method developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf in the mid-20th century, focused on the body’s fascia — the connective tissue that surrounds, supports, and interpenetrates muscles, bones, organs, and joints.
While many therapies address isolated symptoms like back pain or stiff muscles, Rolfing in Zürich aims to work integrally — reorganizing and balancing the whole body structure so that you move, stand, and live with less effort and more ease.
Key Features of Rolfing
Why Rolfing Is Growing in Zürich & Beyond
Increased interest in fascia work
As research into connective tissue (fascia) advances, more health and wellness professionals recognize that fascia plays a key role in movement, pain, posture, and even emotional well-being. Rolfing is among the earlier holistic modalities that explicitly focus on fascia.
Doctors’ recognition & referrals to Rolfing
More medical practitioners are becoming aware of the benefits of bodywork methods like Rolfing. Word-of-mouth remains powerful people in Zürich seeking relief from chronic pain, mobility restrictions or posture issues often hear about Rolfing from trusted sources.
Holistic and long-term results from Rolfing
Clients frequently report not just temporary relief but gradual, lasting changes in how their body feels and moves. Reduced pain, improved posture, better mobility and increased awareness are common outcomes.

Rolfing in Zürich
When I first arrived, Rolfing was still quite unknown in Zürich, with only a few dedicated Rolfers practicing in the city and across Switzerland. Unlike other established therapies, Rolfing had not yet gained widespread recognition, and many people were unfamiliar with its unique approach to improving posture, movement, and overall well-being.
Over the years, the situation has remained fairly steady—Rolfing continues to be a more specialized form of bodywork, but those who do discover it often experience profound results that keep them committed to the method.
Today, Rolfing in Zürich is still a hidden gem in the therapy landscape, but awareness is slowly growing as more people seek holistic, long-lasting solutions for pain, stress, and postural issues. While the number of practitioners has not drastically increased, the quality of care and the dedication of the Rolfers here remain very high.
I believe that as more clients share their transformative experiences, Rolfing will continue to find its place as an essential therapeutic option in Switzerland.

Rolfing in Switzerland
The growth of Rolfing in Switzerland has been steady, even if gradual. More doctors are beginning to recognize its benefits, and word-of-mouth recommendations remain one of the strongest ways new clients discover this method.
The increasing popularity of fascia work in the wider health and wellness field has also brought greater awareness to Rolfing, since it is one of the pioneering therapies that focuses directly on fascia and this important connective tissue.
I have been practicing Rolfing for over 20 years, starting my career in Brazil before continuing my work here in Switzerland.
As one of the longest-practicing Rolfers in the country, I have witnessed firsthand the slow but meaningful growth of this method, and it has been humbling to integrate Rolfing with other techniques in my daily practice.
I also hold advanced training in Advanced Rolfing here in Zürich, which allows me to work with clients in a more personalized and creative way.
This training gives me the flexibility to move between foundational techniques and highly specialized approaches within a single session, making the experience both effective and dynamic.
My commitment after decades of practice remains the same: to help people rediscover balance, ease, and freedom in their bodies through Rolfing.
